The day I went Ice Skating

Who would have thought that me, FREDDIE WEE, would one day go ice skating? I mean I always wanted to go, but seriously speaking, I always find excuses to NOT go. Either its too far, or I'm too lazy, or it's too expensive or I rather go shopping. But the truth is... I'm S C A R E D...Yes... I admit it...when it comes to skating, I'm a chicken...Imagine falling flat on the ice, or falling butt first, or just basically falling...the pain, the torture, the humiliation!!!

BUT!!!

I somehow went skating yesterday with Manda, Mark and Flora...And YES!! I was damn scared...So scared in fact, I was quiet...(yes, i know some of you are thinking...Freddie? Quiet? NO WAY!!) Well, ask the 3 of them la...

When I put the skates on...man..its damn tight fitting...the feet can barely move...I was asking so many questions. Was it suppose to be this tight? Was it this? Was it that? I think at 1 point, Manda got annoyed...ok..maybe Mark and Flora too..But I'm SCARED!!! Thank goodness they were resurfing the ice..so give me time to calm myself down...haha..damn drama right?

Then when the resurfing is done, we went in. Mark and Manda ask to test the ice with the skates first to get the feel of how slippery was it...DAMN...its so damn slippery ok...And at that point, in my mind, I was thinking..WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING HERE!!!

So i went in, tried to stand...Hey, i can. Look at how people were skating...hold on to the side and i swear I did not let go...Walk around the rink...like literally WALK for like a few rounds...Then decided la..since I'm here, my as well just learn how to skate la...so slowly letting go of the side, then tried to move forward, bending my knee... (actually, dowan to share this coz i shy..but i did a few research on youtube the night before on how to skate...most importantly, how to get up when you fall..haha) Its half skating, then if I feel like falling, I hold back the handle...BUT...I managed to skate wei...

So, started skating la...round and round and round...NOT BAD WEI... I can skate...then Manda ask to skate faster a bit..feel the wind in the hair...Mark says i has no hair..hahaha...which is true!!

But i was goin at my own pace, and it's fun...After skating like for an hour, the feet hurts badly. So went and rest with Flora(whom only skated like 15 mins and decided its not her thing..sheesh..she wasted the money) Then went out again...

Skating is quite fun though...next thing is to learn how to stop..coz right now, I'll be skating, and the only time I can stop is by banging the wall...haha...not literally la...But to hold on the side there so that I can stop in time la...Oh Oh...something drama happen...wo around 7 plus, I went out to take a break la..looking into the rink I see Manda and Mark still skating...then was talking to flora..the next thing i heard...DONG!! followed by a laughter that is so familiar...Then I stood up and said, 'OMG OMG!! Manda fell!!...erm..but she's laughing...Oh well'..then continue talking to Flora..haha...

Well, what can I conclude bout ice skating?

1. If you haven tried it yet, please go give it a try.

2. If you know how to skates, I dunno whether that helps or not.But all you nd to do, is bend your knee, and move forward...wah, me giving training..haha

3. Don't be afraid to fall.

4. Do a bit of research about ice skating...go youtube of buy ice skating for dummies. You'll learn a thing or 2 about it...

5. Be prepared for your feet to hurt...and sometimes, if you're lucky...like me... I got blisters...Pics as below...caution: pictures may be harmful and may cause you to feel nausea and disgusted...

After skating, we went to Italiannies for dinner. What a nice way to end the day than to spend some time chit chatting and breaking bread(like literally)...laughing...oh..and Manda fall again..i tell you if she were to fallt he 3rd time, she would be the female version of Jesus wei...hahaha...

But all in all, it was a good day...a day with close friends, a day where I went skating for the 1st time...

True...only that we all have small appetite..

Well, I had off day today and tomorrow. So decided to go Pavilion today, since I never been there before, and will be goin ice skating with Manda and Mark tomorrow...

So, in conjunction with the Malaysian Mega Sale, I've promised my sister to buy her shoes for her birthday, in return, she would hv to pay me double when my birthday comes...muahahaha...

So, we went to Charles and Keith, met up with Mandy, she tried on a few shoes...and VOILA...

A Tribute to Yasmin Ahmad

It was a sudden news to me, although I was a day late. After I came back from my PD trip, went to look at a few blogs, many posted tribute to the late Yasmin Ahmad. Then it hit me, did she pass away? Read the news that she pass away on Saturday at 11.30pm.

Yasmin Ahmad has always been an icon in the Malaysian entertainment industry. Many might know her from the wonderful, emotional and splendid advertisement she did for Petronas during all the festive events and also Merdeka. Some might know her for her movies like Sepet, Gubra and many more. I myself loved her commercials. Here are some of my favourites...

A trip to PD...

WHAT AN AWESOME WEEKEND!!
But before that,

I HAVE REACHED MY 100th POST!!!

YAY ME!!

Looking back at my blog, many nice things had happened. 'What a wonderful world' was written based on what's happening and going on in my life, whether it is good or bad. Good ones are meant to be cherished, bad ones will make us grow...So all in all, it IS a wonderful world...

Anyway, as the title says it all, I shall start of blogging my 100th post about a recent trip I had with my hometown friends. (Although I dread blogging in such a noisy environment, sis friends are here, watching bloody F1 with the damn bloody speaker on, cigeratte smell everywhere... Argh!!!) Well, this trip was organized by Tan Sek Kuan, out of a BET that he couldn't pull it off. So he took the challenge and organized a trip. I have to say, not bad for a rookie..haha...although can improve on the lodging part, but then again, everyone slept well...But have to give him props for gathering all of us, although not all(some decided to FFK...too bad), but he managed to get people from Singapore (Min See, Poh Lih and Wei Kok), Segamat(Alek, Kapo) and KL(Gan, Bfong, Sek Kuan, Kok Hau, Kok Hau's GF, Zhi Wei and me). Props for that. Hopefully our next trip wil involve the rest...

The journey towards PD

So, on the 25th July, Bfong and Gan came and pick me up from my place at 7.30am, went over to Gan's place to collect some stuff, then we met the rest at Kajang. Then, we drove all the way to PD, check into a 'budget hotel' called Chola Hotel(literally budget but comfortable...like RM28 per person?). Then get ready for our 1st and main activity there...PAINTBALL!!!

We drove to EagleRanch(where it was suppose to be our initial lodging area, but it was fully book). Nice place though...must stay there in the future. There's many activities that you can do there. Volleyball, paintball, archery, flying fox, jungle trekking, river rafting etc. But our main objective was to play paintball. So we registered, briefed, and divided ourselves into 2 teams...GUN and BEE( coz there's only 2 gals there...Gan and Bih Fong..so Gan=Gun, Bih Fong=Bee)..actually Green team and Black team la...

Troops: Lim Min See, Freddie Wee, Tan Poh Lih, Alek and Kapo.

Troops: Tan Sek Kuan, Lai Kok Hau, Tak Zhi Wei and Tee Wei Kok.

1st battle...
Marshall yelled... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... and the battle begin. Me running towards my cover to the left, Min See went to the right, Alek, Kapo and Poh Lih cover us..We moved forward and kept firing that the other team did not had the chance to even attack... We were swift, we were fast...I covered Min See while he ran to retrieve the flag...then he pass the flag to me, I ran back to the barrack...AND WE WON!!! The other team din even know we got our flag...BUT...they were prepared for battle 2...

Our team kept with the same strategy. However, the other team were much agressive and put on their guards. Firing and aiming.. I got hit, I ran out of pallets...Went back to base, and came out again...Ran as fast as I could towards 3 barrels being stack up, din managed to break, next thing you know...DONG!!!I bang the barrel and push the barrel on top down...Damn...(the marshal got brief us at 1st not to bang the barrel...=.=)This battle was much longer as both teams were guarding each flag...However, the other team managed to retrieve their flag and they won the 2nd battle.

We change sides. Once the marshall yelled START!! I ran from my base and started firing randomly..ala ala Rambo...haha...Then the rest of my team members managed to get as front as possible..The other team got no choice, so they had to crawl towards their desired designated cover...Then I don really know what happened, the other team managed to retrieve their flag and they won..DAMN!!

BUT...all in all, it was fun!! Although i got injured, i mean everyone got injured, except Gan and Alek, but we really had fun. I'm actually proud of my injury..hahaha...

Then we left EagleRanch, went and have lunch, and went back to the hotel to change to our swim wear, and we're off to the beach. We played Banana boat, pics will be uploaded later. Usually you see around 6-8 people on the banana boat, but ours had 11. Haha. Can swim, cannot swim, all went up. Something interesting about this banana boat ride is that at some point while they are bringing you out to sea, they will turn their speedboat so that the banana boat will overturn, causing everyone to fall from it...haha...fun fun fun...after that, we played in the sea til it was about almost 6(that explains the tan skin i had now..dah la already so tan...sigh) Then we got ready for our BBQ session at Wingsan's condo. Went there, set the fire, then we started our BBQ session. Me being so gung-ho, wanting to start the fire, managed to start it..YAY!! but it was TOO BIG!!hahahaha...had to throw water to it for like...3? 4 times? haha...But all in all, the food was DELICIOUS. Wingsan's bf's mom marinated the chicken wing for us and it was DELICIOUS!!!

Then something drama happen..Oh oh..by the way, we bbq-ed by the beach..haha...ok ok..so while we were BBQing, then Kok Hau spotted smoke from the nearby hill. Then he said there's a fire going on on the other side of the hill as the smoke was building up. True enough, few minutes later, we heard sirens...then I said...'erm guys, our hotel is that way...' Just to scare them la... then 1 by 1 la, started to come up with own theory la..din off aircond la, car got blast off la...sigh...but luckily, not our hotel. We dunno where is it also..haha...So we BBQ-ed, had desserts, clean up and left the condo at around 11 plus back to our hotel. Some slept early, the gals did the calculation for the expenditure and etc, some played a stupid and funny card game about questions and answers...damn sweat la that game...can ask questions about 'Who's wife will have the biggest boobs'..so everyone takes a random card, open it, and the highest number wins..meaning his wife will have the biggest boobs..damn sweat right...=.="

Slept, woke up the next day at around 9...went for breakfast, then we left for home. A few of us wanted to bring the Singapore friends for satay kajang, but they had to catch their train back.

But all in all, I'm glad that I actually join them in this trip. It's always nice to get away with your hometown friends, friends whom you have grown up with, friends whom you spend most of your life with...its...speechless...no words can describe it.. So...to those who went for the trip, am looking forward for future trips...to those who did not get to join us this time, make sure you join us next time...and pls..GO WITHOUT EXPECTATION...you'll enjoy more...like i did... :)

Tuesday - SHOPPING TRIP with my sister at Pavilion!!(yes..I'm a Pavilion virgin..=.=" ..never been there before) Promise her a shoe from Charles & Keith for her birthday(since now it's sales, can get cheaper..hopefully*fingers cross*), and also meeting up with Mandy..

Oh, and today, I have a candidate that will be signing her LA!! So happy for her coz she really wants to get out of her company, coz it's not doing that well!!
Which means, TARGET HIT!!haha...so happy...

Something random

Hey, Jus decided to blog. Coz its been a while since I updated. Nothing much happened. Just that on Friday, the whole Sg Long jingbang went and watch Harry Potter, which I did not enjoy and I fell asleep...Sigh..was bothering Manda throughout the entire show asking her this and that..haha..so sorry Manda..

Then on the 18th, a few of us went to MPO for a concert. It was Haydn's The Season concert, a collaboration between MPO and also the Swedish Choir. It was good...FANTASTIC...AWESOME with a capital A W E S O M E!!Loved the brass instruments..especially the french horn and the trombone...cool performance..

Today, nothing much happened. Slept whole day, afternoon went volleyball..quite fun though...then nigth went for Abi and Alvin's wedding practice. Something nice for HFC choir members who read my blog..its from someone who frequently comes to our church, but doesn't stay in Kajang...

'i oways go to HFC for weekend masses.. either sat evenin or sunday morning.. seriously, de choir in HFC damn cekap la. first time i saw such great choir... especially, durin easter vigil.. tat was de best ..'

Well, now a bit of emo moment la...basically am feeling a bit down...just feel that my life is very empty. There's nothing..nothing for me to look forward to, nothing for me to hold, nothing for me to grab..it's jus normal routine...and I'm bored with it...the question is, Why am I suddenly have this feeling?

Hence, the emoness...sigh...This week to finish up the assignments, then can enjoy my long holiday..Took next mon and tues off...Oh well, cant wait for the weekend to come...I'll FINALLY be meeting the person whom i realyl wanted to meet for so long on Friday, then be heading down to PD with my form6 friends....20 of us will b spending the weekend together at Eagle Ranch...something to look forward too...but cant wait to meet U on Friday!!

An evening with Lilian, Theresa and Lydia

Last night I met up with 2 of my closest cousins, Lilian and Theresa, and also a hometown church friend Lydia at Chillis MV. It was great meeting up with them as we catch up years of stories after so long not meeting up. It was so difficult to meet up, even though we're all in KL. Lilian and I work on weekdays, Theresa work on weekends, Lydia study and work part time at night. So meeting up yesterday was wonderful.

We practically grew up in Segamat together, singing in choir together, me and Lilian when we were strd 3, Lydia strd 2 while Theresa strd 4. Going camps, carolling, parties together. Supporting each other through difficult times, shared tears and laughter...those were the days...

Something Stupid

Knowing

This week has been what I call...a Lesson to be learnt...

So basically, this week has been miserable
