The Letter

This is the Letter...

Dear Editor,

There is always a time and place for doing the Lord's work. On 19th April was the feast of the Divine Mercy Church. The programe for the feast, a 11.15am mass. People from many states and also Singapore came by the bus loads to attend the Divine Mercy Celebration. To our utter surprise Reverand Paulino invited Dato Theresa Kok the honour to speak about her political career as opposition MP. Mind you, the honour of her talk took precedence before God and Mass,at 11.15am to 11.45am. Reverand Paulino did not give any of us a choice but to sit and listen, it could be done after MASS in the Church Hall, telling those who are interested that she is giving a talk AFTER MASS.We came for MASS not a Ceramah.

At 11.35am, I walked through the church aisle and asked Dato Theresa Kok to stop and told her that she was desecrating the House of God. WHY? In Luke 19 verse 45-46 I quote. "My Temple will be called a House of prayer, but you have turned it into a hideout of thieves, for us no room for politicians too. Even in Mark 11 verse 17. I quote "He then taught the people it is written in the scriptures that God said, My Temple will be called a house of prayer for the people of all nations. He was very explicit..

Reverand Paulino and Dato Theresa Kok was forcing the congregation to listen to on how she strived in the political arena, not focusing that it is a feast day of the Lord for which was interupted by her ceramah. One third of the people was angry and dissapointed and left the church. For asking Dato Theresa to stop desecrating the House of God, I, a 59 year lady was shoved and pushed by the FRU wardens of the church and was asked to leave.. I did right before God and man. For speaking what was right I was manhandled. Tell me what is the difference between the government's brutal force and the wardens of the church?

We feel an incredible honor to be used by God because our mission involves two great privileges, working with God and of course the hardest REPRESENTING HIM NOT BEING HIM! St Paul call us to be co-labourous. Please refer to Corinth 2 chapter 6:1-10. This text of St Paul explicitly guides us to truly serve God. His mettle of sincerity has been tested by fire and truly lived in Luke's Gosple 7: 21-23. "Blessed is the one who takes no offence in me." That calls to spread and LIVE the gosple not only during favourable but also in unfavourable circumstances too. To spread the Gosple is truly easy, but to live the Gosple is the hardest. We are challenged by the Lord to truly live the Gospel first in today's trying times. ARE WE TRULY READY TO SERVE HIM, NOT OURSELVES.

I ASK MYSELF AND TO ALL CHRISTIANS IN JESUS NAME.

yours in christ,

xoxo(name has been censored to protect the identity of the person)
