Happy EARTH HOUR...Let's work together to save our planet earth!!!

It's a wonderful event, and it actually saddens me that while I was driving around, some inconsiderate people decided to just leave the lights on...EVEN WHEN THEY'RE NOT AT HOME!!!Passed by Jusco, and it was 'selective-participation'...saw McD was dark, but KFC brightly lighted..pizza too..Starbucks was dark..yea..so I call this 'selective-participation'.

Anyway, I decided not to spend earth hour alone, suppose to meet up with alex and el at mewah club there..but then decided too far, so went over to manda's place..we kinda had 'picnic' at her porch. It was fun la..Her whole famile sitting outside there, eating, talking, laughing, gossiping..with my 'CIN TAU' hakka language (yes..we're still talking bout the fact tat I cant speak a single word of hakka)..

Best thing was listening to Manda talking bout her uni life, makes me think back about MY uni life..sigh..her lectureres are AMAZINGLY funny...There's this lecturer named Miss Chong.hahaha...very dramatically exxaguratingly funny...Funny phrases tat manda have to act for you only you would understand...phrases like

"OK class..understand or not? yesnomaybe tooloudtosoft toofasttooslow?" (FYI, in a very very very very fast pace..haha)

"OK..remember the phrase that I ask you all to go back and think about yesterday? I know many of you have forgotten bout it...but I'm hopeful that at least 1 or 2 will go back and do...

So aft 9.30,we still decided to sit outside and talk...haha...quite fun...it's been a while I've spoken to Manda..great that she's back..(yes yes..she's probably smiling and being proud of herself =.=")

Yeah, Ritchie definitely hit on a fun idea back then. But usually my saturday night would be spending time in church or starbucks or just stay at home reading, onlining etc.

BUT..this Saturday night would be different. If you didn't know already, it's Earth Hour this 28th March from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm. One hour where the lights go off in a vote for Earth.

Of course, one might wonder what one is to do with all the lights off. Personally, I'd like to think one can have quite a bit of fun, besides visiting the park. Here are a few ideas off the top of my head:

1. Get all your friends to do the same, switch off all the lights and do a barbeque party with some candles and guitar.

2. Invite friends over to friends place, light some candles and get drunk silly.

3. Get creative and take photos in the darkness.

4. Go to bed early..although it's gonna be quite hot...

5. Go to the top of Mewah club and watch the darkness from there..of coz with some booze.

Haven't figured out what my plans for the night would be. Maybe look for some Earth Hour friendly establishment to chill out in. So, what will YOU be doing?

Happenings...

Many things happened...to cut things short..previous post there was a car wash for our sg long youth camp, well, we managed to have the camp in port dickson. It was fun..although got some unforseen events happened, but overall, i had fun with the committee, with the youth there. It brought us together..LOTS OF LAUGHTER!!!here are some pics...

We played lots and lots of games...and it was really a fun camp...

Then my company had a bowling session which was organized by the sports club aka Mini, me and liza. It was a great outing for PerForMers as we'er so stressed up with work and all..and it was a great time for everyone to unwind and jus have fun. Many funny moments happened during the bowling...ultraman, hundreds of longkang sweeper, boss finally had her strike...

Then yesterday, went with HFC youth to Rawang, to pay a visit to Welcome Community Home, a place for HIV and AIDS patients...It was something and life changing experience for me..becuase usually we visit old folks or orphanages, but now we visit patients that have this virus that could take their lives anytime, being ignored and despised by the community. It was nice spending time with the residents there..

The medication found there..it's being sponsored by the hospital..

The person incharge there, uncle tony i think his name..not sure...explaining to us bout the home, the people, what we need to do, etc etc...We had mass there with the ppl and also few SIC church members. They go there every 3rd sat of the month and the priest there, Fr Soosay, is a very nice person. he's very musicly incline and loves music a lot...

All in all, these are what happened during the last few weeks...many more activities to come..i hope..haha..till then..take care ppl..

The long weekend...

It's been a while since I last updated...yea..so sorry bout that..been really busy. Even Renu's tag also i have to squeeze in some time to do it.. If not, sure she will scold wan..haha..joking joking..
Anyway, just to update on the long weekend....

Well, it started on the 6th of March...stayed in the office until 8pm, coz was talking to sandra and gummy. Had a great time talking to them..mostly bitching and gossiping..haha...Then after that had to rush back coz had to attend a meeting in Sg long. Had to report about the updates on the camp this weekend. So after reporting it, many agreed that it is in good hands.haha..so was quite proud of the team...cant wait for the camp this weekend.

On the 7th, in the morning..we went to PD La Salle, to visit our camp site. Went there with Uncle Mike and his family(aunty huey ling, david and catherine), Aunty margaret and Flora. The place looks ok..not like a luxurious hotel or sth like that..but its OKAY!!..Then after that we went to the Church of Immaculate Conception to see Father Francis to see whether he can say mass for us while we're there or not. And mind you, I jus have to say this...the church..A SMALL CHURCH..in port dickson...HAS A STEGEA..ok..A STEGEA..Been wanting to get 1 for our church...and its almost towards the end of my term, and we still hasn't get the stegea...sigh...

So nothing much happened on Sat. Then on Sun morning, went for mass, then had breakfast with Ash, Allison and Keith. Then went to see my god-daughter, Haylie..she's a big girl now...more becoming a bitch..haha..literally..FYI, Haylie is a golden retriever btw..haha...Then after that went over to Sher's place for 'Sg Long Youth camp fund raising. We did car wash. The youth came together to make this fund raising a success. And with that, we managed to raise a total of RM1000, thanks to a very generous donor..So now we're anticipating the much awaited Sg long youth camp..YOOHOO!!!

Then at night, went for choir practice..prac was fun la.Many turn up..Then after that went mamak session with Keith, Allison, Dom, Ash, Glynn and James to Bangi for some 'sisha' session. It was my 1st time trying out sisha..and its not bad..according to dom, if you smoke cigarette, it will shorten your life by 10 years.. But if you smoke sisha, only 1...some theory he has la..but it was nice...

Then after that, knowing us comin up with some wack up ideas..we were talking bout games then they brought up this crazily scary game called hotel626, then we decided to head over to keith's place, connect the laptop to the tv, and play..well, its more like keith played and the rest of us stayed far from the tv..WAY FAR..like on the couch far...and it was 2am already by the time we played it..told them that if its that scary, i'm staying at their place for the night..haha...But the game ended up being really slow to load, so we ended up playing wii instead. Dom bought this new raving rabbids game, which is damn damn superly douperly fun..it has dance k..last time we played we only has a band, but then now got dancing.haha..i think dom or glynn will upload the video on facebook or their blog..played til about 5 plus..the longest we've ever played..but it was fun la..we were sweating like hell..haha...

Then today, the 9th, met up with caryn, ang, yin and yim for lunch at Chillis mv. Did some catching up, lots of laughter as usual..knowing us..i can see the entire chillis was looking at us with annoyance..haha....Pics of food and us...

So that's how the weekend was...it's great..hehe..cant wait to go clubbing...ciaoz ppl...next post would be about the camp...
