Boxing Day

Hello,

Its the 26th today, boxing day...have yet to box ppl..or being box..haha...anyway, stayed home today due to certain reasons. Anyway, updates since the last long post. As usual, nearing Xmas time, it's the busiest yet the most wonderful time of the year. Let me tell you one thing at a time...

Dec 21st,

Did not attend morning mass coz i overslept. But then met up with the choir members at 2 for a short practice before going to MO. Convoy left for MO at around 3plus almost 4. Once at MO, we got ready, but it was a tiring session la, and very very bad management. Suppose to start at 6.30,so ask us to get ready at the lounge at 6.15. We were there early, only to be told the kids will be late, coz there was this 'Christmas tree of hope' charity thingy where they have orphanage kids come over and celebrate Christmas with them. Waited until about 7, only we started singing. By the time we finish 1st session, we were already hungry. So for 2nd session, we only sang like 6 songs. Then we went to have dinner. Tiring night and there's no crowd at the lounge, so we were basically singing to ourselves la. But...singing was good. Not to say great, but good...

Dec 22nd,

Went to work as usual. That day was an important day at work coz we had out CSA(critical success activity), and also our company's Xmas dinner, the part where all PerForMers are waiting for. This is the time where we get to know who our secret santa is and also what are the presents that they got for us. The dinner was good, din eat much though coz that night Sg long Zone also have carolling session. So Adrian started of the gift exchange, and to my surprise, my secret santa has been lying to me all this while. It was none other than Sandra, who is seated behind me...She has been lying to me by saying, 'Freddie, msg from your secret santa, he/she couldn't get for you the Starbucks voucher that you want, so only left with the book voucher or the shopping voucher'. And when both of us were at the Christmas tree, she took my present and started shaking it, and trying to guess what it inside, basically she took everyone's gift and guessing what was inside. So yea, din thought she was my secret santa until she called my name..haha..Thanks for the MPH voucher..now i can go buy my twilight book d...Sandra, Sarah, Gummy and Jean got for me New Moon, Andrea, Elena, Sandy and Alex got for me Breaking Dawn for my Bday, I got myself Twilight, so now left Eclipse. Hehe..

After the party, left with Norah to Sg long Bec Xmas Carolling. The one that was postponed earlier. Joined them at the 2nd house, which was fun la. Get to spend time with my Sg Long friends, singing Xmas songs, wearing the reindeer antlers thingy..haha...Last house was Manda's place, which I played the piano. The kids sang beautifully with the parts being done by the youth. After the carolling session, had potluck dinner and mingling around session

Dec 23rd,

On Dec 23rd, went to work as usual, but was anticipating for our final performance at MO. Also another big HUHA..dunno whether its just me or wat la, but its again involve the 'Fat Bastard'(those who knows the story might know who we are refering to). Is it that difficult to ask for an extra mike??wasted my time speaking to such a rude and irresponsible idiot like him, when Reuben jsut went down and spoke to the AV person for an extra mike, and he said can. That idiot said not allowed coz not enough mikes la, cannot confirm la...Anyway, thanks to the extra mikes we had, the singing was WONDERFUL. Best show HFC choir ever performed at MO. Jude's playing was superb, the parts was strong, the altos was strong(usually not very..haha) The crowds was so entertained that they sing along as well..or should i say, laughed along as well. Everyone had a great time.. Lots of friends and relatives turn up (Lilian and Dylan..thanks for coming). All in all, it was a nice way to end the carolling session we had this Christmas. Aft that, went gallivanting in KLCC, then went back with Keith and Allison with Manda and Ash. Manda, Ash and me have a tradition where the 3 of us would crash at Keith and Allisons once we've finish our carolling session. Did that every year. Haha...

Dec 24th

Well, it's Christmas eve, the day everyone is anticipating. Went to work, but worked only half day that day...came back, rested, slept..coz did not sleep enough at Keith and Allisons...Ash, Allison, Manda and me talked til bout 1, then brought Melia(yes, she stayed too!!) to sleep, then we continued talking til 2plus. Then after sleeping, get ready to go to Manda's place for Christmas eve dinner. The food prepared by Aunty Pat is so so nice that I took more than 1 helping. Haha.. Jude and his family join us, along with Manda's grandparents.

After dinner, we got ready and went for midnight mass. This year's Christmas mass was a bit special, coz for the 1st time, the choir was not involve in the carolling session, but the cathecism students were. They were led by Rozanne, which I must say, it was a very creative and good performance. kuddos to those involve. Then, another good thing is that, all of my musicians did a phenomenal job playing that night. Reuben came JUST IN TIME to play the entrance hymn, O Come All Ye Faithful, I played offertory, medley of Hark the Herald/Angels We Have Heard On High/In Bread We Bring You Lord, Manda played for communion, Mary's Boy Child, Ann played O Holy Night, Alex did the final hymn, Joy to the World. On the organ was always awesome Rozanne, Lourdes was on drums(suppose to be Elena, but i had lack of sopranos, and Lourdes was there to make mass more..how to say..different..haha) and Daniel on keyboard. The musicians and the choir brought the house down...They rocked that night..seriously..GOOD JOB TO THE MUSICIANS, GREAT PLAYING..esp Alex..."ALEX...U'RE BACK"..haha... This are the few compliments that we got that night.

Sigh..I'm so so super proud of my choir members. HFC CHOIR...YOU GUYS ROCK!!

Dec 25th

Woke up for mass today, then after that went over to Manda's grandparents house for lunch. Felt kinda weird and left out la..but the food was nice as usual. haha..then came back to sleep, waited for my family to come back from Kemaman, then went makan with them, then aft that went to Flora's place for Xmas gathering. Had a fun crazy session with Flora, Manda, Sher, El, Ann and San. Took some pics, will collect it from Flora soon.

Anyway, time to gear up for 2009 ppl...HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
